Event: 85th Annual Hopi Festival 

Dates: Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1, 2018
Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Festival Event Description:
This Hopi festival is a tradition since the 1930s. The festival features
about100 award-winning artists and presenters from the Hopi villages
northern Arizona.

Traditional and contemporary art may be purchased.
There will also be various
Heritage Insights lectures, and artist demonstrations.
Also, there will be
performances by the Hopi Sinom Dancers, Tyrone & The Ledge, Tha ‘Yoties, and flutist Fredrick Andrews.

Event: Firecracker Express 

Date: July 4, 2018 – Wednesday

Time: 7:00am to 5:00pm

Event Description:
Celebrate the 4th of July holiday in Clarkdale,AZ. You can start with a delightful morning celebration in the Clarkdale park with a pancake breakfast, and then a children’s parade with a patriotic orchestra. Afterwards come on over to the Verde Canyon Railroad for an all American BBQ luncheon from 11:00am to12:45pm.
During lunch you may visit with a bald eagle from Liberty Wildlife’s educational program.

Then top off the afternoon with a wonderful scenic train ride
along the Verde River from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Shenanigans & Skullduggery Cowboy Poetry Show 

Date: August 4, 2018 – Saturday

Time: 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Event Description:
Enjoy Sedona author, cowboy poet and actor Michael Peach in a
Shenanigans & Skullduggery performance of his enjoyable show which
at 1:30pm. Michael has the talent to blend his cowboy poetry with tall tales
and jokes. Also, Michael exposes and pokes fun at quirky incidents from
Arizona politics and law.
Mike’s shows have long been a favorite of universities, state and national
parks. The show is one hour long.

Event: Red Rocks Music Festival 

Dates: September 8 – 28, 2018

Event Description:
The Red Rocks Music Festival is from September 8th to September 28th, 2018
at the Sedona Creative Life Center.

The music will feature the world renowned Violinist
Shlomo Mintz in a Gala Solo recital,
and Pianist Sandra Shapiro “In My Father’s Footsteps –
a daughter’s search for answers”.
“From the Romantic to Jazz” and “Dialogue through Music” will be performed by David Ehrlich, Anna Kazepides, violins, Rami Solomonow, viola, Jan Simiz, cello, Michael Kazepides, Double-Bass, Teresa Ehrlich, piano and Nikola Djurica, clarinet.

Event: Sedona Airport Family Fun Day 

Date: September 15, 2018 – Saturday

Time: From 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Event Description:
Come and join us for Sedona Airport will host a Family Fun Day on September 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. See lots of great aircraft – from old military planes,
restored to new antiques, and state of the art aircraft with full glass cockpits.

Walk and talk with pilots and learn about the world of aviation.
Free parking and free admission.

The event will feature tons of exhibits
including cool classic automobiles, trucks, and aircraft of all vintages;
including former military, antique, home-built, and brand new aircraft.

This is also a fly-in for pilots in the southwest.
Sedona Airport invites all to fly in and meet and greet the public and fellow pilots.

There will be tasty food, cool beverages, and grand entertainment
for the whole family at the Sedona Airport Family Fun Day.

Event: Pumpkin Splash 

Date: October 20, 2018

Time: From 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Event Description:
You are invited to bring your bathing suit and enjoy the Pumpkin Splash in Sedona. The Sedona Community Pool will be home to pumpkins ready for the picking… Out of the water that is! This is fun for all ages. There will be some classic activities and some new games for children on the pool deck for playing and competing. 

Cost/Admission: Everyone entering the pool facility, adults and children alike, must pay a $5 admission fee. The fee of $5 includes a pumpkin to take home.

Event: The Lighting of 6,000 Luminarias – Festival of Lights 

Date: December 8, 2018

Time: from 3:00pm to 8:00pm

Event Description:
The Annual Festival of Lights this year includes a
schedule of wonderful musical entertainment.

For the children, there will be a visit from Santa. The event will have free cider.
The River of Life Tabernacle Choir will be performing.

At the tolling of the bell tower at 5:00pm, the lighting of 6,000 luminarias gets
underway in Tlaquepaque’s courtyards and walkways.
This grand tradition of the Festival of Lights began 45 years ago
and is a highly anticipated holiday event in Sedona.

Note: Specially designated luminarias to honor cancer survivors
can be purchased in Patio del Norte as well.

2019 Events

Event: Sedona International Film Festival25th Anniversary 

Date: February 23 – March 3, 2019

Event Description:
This is our 25th annual ‘Silver Anniversary’ which is from
February 23 – March 3, 2019.
The film festival will include the following: film shorts to features, and animations
to documentaries
, and student films to foreign films. This is an event
to attend and enjoy.

This 25th Sedona Film Festival is known by filmmakers and audiences as one of the
best film festivals in the United States of America. The festival was named as a
“Fest to
Impress” by Movie-Maker Magazine.

So, check out the filming opportunities and consider joining the filmmakers, celebrities, guests and film buffs in our festival.
